Introducing Beanie hats, knit stencil and glasses templates.

It's our last day of introductions and today I'm bringing you...

Beanie Hats
For the accessories to our mixed media templates I have designed a couple of hats, these will be available in both sizes to coordinate with the previously released mixed media templates.
There are two styles of hat with possibilities of others depending on how you use the pieces. There are two sizes of pom pom too, these templates will be sold as pre-cut I can't imagine having to fussy cut out those pom poms.

The Details:
  • Beanie Hats Mixed Media Templates will be available for purchase on Fri 12th February.
  • They will sell from £3.00 up.
  • There are two main hat styles, a hat band and two sizes of pom poms. The template is pre cut, available in two sizes standard and mini to coordinate with the Mixed Media Templates in the shop.

Next I'm introducing Glasses mixed media template
To compliment the accessory range, these will also be pre cut and will coordinate with the previously released templates. They will be available in two sizes standard and mini.

The Details:
  • Glasses Mixed Media Template will be available for purchase on Fri 12th February.
  • The set will retail from £2.00 up.
  • Glasses template contains three styles of glasses, they can be drawn around or used like a mask. You can colour them in to be reading glasses, fashion accessory or a pair of sunglasses.

And lastly but no means least is another design to add to our stencil range...
I couldn't resist the knit design inspired from an earlier stamp set DesignA knit, I thought it would compliment the hat templates and it's great for adding texture and pattern to your projects.

The Details:
  • Knit Stencil will be available for purchase on Fri 12th February.
  • It will retail for £4.75
  • This stencil will coordinate with the DesignA Knit Stamp set, it's a thicker mylar than the templates, about 6x6" and it's a pattern repeat so you can ink continuously for more creative possibilities.

Next is my sample,
I didn't get time to create as much as I wanted, but decided to use all todays release in another comic pop art style card as it's my new favourite.
This is a large A5 card, I have drawn in order the hat, the first hair piece, the head, fringe of her hair then the neck and shoulders all in pencil first, as I needed to move the glasses down her face, it was so easy to replace the templates to fix any rubbed out lines.
I then stamped most of the facial features before colouring in copic markers. I must mention that it's probably best to draw the hat first before the other steps of the templates as you will need to adjust some of the hairstyles to fit in under the hat band. I will try and get a video created as soon as I can to show you.
I have used distress inks over my copic colouring to get the texture and dots. I used the negative part of the pre cut hat template as a mask when inking through the knit stencil. As I did with the hair when stamping on the face.
Then I cut the whole figure out and ran my black copic over the edges to hide the white and enhance the comic look. I've added a few pop dots to the edge of the background in black embossing.
I used the glasses template as a mask when I stamped her eyelashes to really give them perspective.

Ok that's me, now it's time to head over and feast your eyes on

gorgeous projects.

Thank you so much for stopping by today,
I hope you've been inspired enjoy a wonderfully creative day!

Introducing Pop dots and Polka Dots

Did you enjoy the birthday wishes introductions yesterday?

Today I'm introducing a wonderful polka dot stamp set,
Let me introduce Pop Dots
I am delighted with this set it was something I had thought about for a while... why is my polka dots any different? Well I was inspired by pop art, benday dots and comic style which lead me down the road of halftones and special effects that dots could have. So, I have four separate dot stamps which when lined up will create a halftone or, used individually for a complete polka dot background, you can use just parts for texture and interest in your mixed media art too. I think the samples will bring across my vision.

The Details:
  • Pop Dots Stamp set will be available for purchase on Fri 12th February.
  • The set will retail for £9.00
  • Pop Dots stamp set contains four large stamps, each with varying size polka dots which will work teamed together for a halftone effect or individually for even more stamping variations.

Next we have some new additions to our mixed media stencil range with some polka dots of various sizes...
Mixed Media Stencils are designed to add texture and imagery to your creative projects, use with your favourite inks, paints, texture mediums, stamps and more for endless creative possibilities. You can use the stencil with a Light box or even in a die cutting machine.

The beauty of Mylar stencils is they are strong but thin and flexible. After all your fun and exciting stencilling they can be washed and used again and again. They are also solvent proof so you can use most types of paint and easily clean with suitable solvent. So, with good care, your stencils should withstand against many many more creative uses...

The Details:
  • Polka Dot stencils will be available for purchase on Fri 12th February.
  • They will retail individually for £3.50 or as a bundle of four sizes for £10.00.
  • The Medium dot is 1cm(3/8"), the small dot is 6mm(2/8"), the mini dot is 5mm(3/16") and the tiny dot is 2.5mm(1/8").

Ok the fun part... Some hand crafted samples
This is using the medium 1cm dot stencil with white paint onto kraft card, when dry I stamped little hearts from the doll face stamp set and heat set in gold embossing powder.
I have then stamped my sentiment in blue embossing powder onto vellum die cut and added a circle of white card to help the sentiment to pop! Finished with a flourish of glitter paper.

For my next card
I wanted to create a fashion style print, using the larger female head and torso mixed media templates with the flick and fringe hairstyle, I drew the girl first onto watercolour paper, stamped her facial features and roughly added a wash of distress inks to look like watercolours.
I masked her eyes to then use the same distress inks to stamp the polka dots varying the colours on different areas of the card.
I stamped her eyelashes last and went over my pencil lines very roughly with a gel pen.

Now this card...
has to be my absolute favourite this year, it makes me smile!!!
It was created using the mini head and torso with loose plait mixed media templates, with mini female face stamp set. Like in the above card I simply drew my girl first in pencil, stamped her face and coloured in using copics.
Now this type of copic colouring I actually find difficult, it's not easy for me to get a smooth comic colour, but thankfully the dots so helped there, they were stamped using distress inks, it worked so well.
I masked the different areas before stamping the polks dots. Then I went around all the pencil lines with my black posca pen, you can very easily reposition the templates and use them again. Then I fussy cut her out, the background shows off the halftone stamping in white embossing powder. Finished off with a little sentiment created using Birthday wishes shown yesterday.

We have an extra special guest joining us today too, yay!

AND for even more exquisite inspiration, pop by our talented Teamies...

Thank you so very much for stopping by, I hope you will return tomorrow to see our other introductions!!!

Enjoy a wonderfully inspirational day,

Introducing Birthday Wishes Stamp Set!

Did you enjoy the sneak peeks yesterday?

Today I'm introducing a new sentiment stamp set,
this set is sure to coordinate with all your birthday images, it's perfect when you're looking for just the right sentiment...

 Let me introduce Birthday Wishes
with so many possible Birthday sayings to suit both outside and inside your cards. It includes a selection of birthday candles and a sprinkling of dots to really add to the celebrations!

The Details:
  • Birthday wishes Stamp set will be available for purchase on Fri 12th February.
  • The set will retail for £9.00
  • Birthday wishes contains 32 images, there are six birthday candle designs, with four flame designs. There is a cluster of dots with coordinating circles to add to your imagery or create unique backgrounds as well as confetti curls. The sentiments are all separate for more stamping variations.

Now onto a few samples...

With it being Chinese new year yesterday I thought it would be fun to create a special celebration card, complete with Adorimal monkey as it's year of the monkey. I have stamped this little character onto leather effect adhesive paper and fussy cut all the components before adhering in place. The sentiment has been heat embossed in gold powder.

next
I am so pleased with how the herringbone background came out, I used the DesignA Tweed stamp with distress ink to give it a more muted tone, you could definitely use this in different colour ways to suit female recipients. The sentiment has been built up and stamped in black ink.

I have a few more to show...
I was inspired by this card, I simply swapped the colours, but the embossing didn't come out as clear in this colour.
I've used the cluster of dots to create a background of confetti, the sentiments have also been heat embossed.
And finally these cutie 4" mini cards, with a row of pretty candles all lit up, this would be great in any colour! and so quick to reproduce, I simply lined up five candles snugly beside each other on a block and repeat stamped them on the edge. Finished with little flames and a sentiment.

AND for even further inspiration, pop by the following Team blogs and check out their gorgeous projects...

Thank you very much for stopping by, I hope you will return tomorrow to see our other introductions!!!

Enjoy a wonderful cooking day if you indulging in some yummy pancakes, my two little angels have already put their orders in lol!

February Sneak Peek Time!!!

Welcome to our February sneak peeks, I am a day earlier than usual but a bit late posting at the same time.
And I want to wish everyone a Very Happy Chinese New Year!
May the year of the monkey be full of Happiness and prosperity.

This is a very useful set for all those birthdays through the year, it's a versatile sentiment set, with so many possible Birthday sayings to suit both outside and inside your cards. It includes a selection of birthday candles and a sprinkling of dots to really add to the celebrations!
Pop Dot is a versatile polka dot stamp set, inspired by pop art and the comic designs using benday dots, you can use all four to create a half tone effect or individually for a full polka dot background.
So to coordinate with the pop dot stamp set I decided I needed some dot stencils too, there are four sizes, I will grade them by size of dots to make it easy to gauge the scale.
Now I thought it was about time our mixed media beauties had some accessories and I have designed some cosy hats with the addition of fun pom poms. These will be available in both standard and mini size to complement the mixed media templates.
Which lead me to designing a knit stencil which can work very well to add texture and pattern to your mixed media clothing.
I've also designed a few pairs of glasses these will be available in both standard and mini size to complement the mixed media templates.

Thank you so much for stopping by,
Pop back tomorrow for introductions with our new stamps and templates.
and there's still plenty of time to enter our
and
I am loving the entries so far, thank you :)

Enjoy a wonderfully creative New Years day!
