their gorgeous projects are sure to inspire you!

Terri
Terri I have created a mixed media card, I used the Folk fabrique stamp set to stamp the peacock onto linen fabric and the Birthday wishes stamp set to add a sentiment and border, this was heat set and painted using Lustre fabric paints. I added some AB gems to accent and drew a sketchy border on the card.

Chris
Chris made a card using the Birthday Wishes and Butterfly Pieridae Stamp sets over a distress ink background.

Kim
Kim couldn't resist painting another Portrait media blank, she used the Wavy bunches and took the colours of the picture for inspiration. The female face set was used for her face, coloured in pencil and finished off with a little vellum butterfly from the Butterfly pieridae set.

Introducing ~ MDF Portrait Media Blanks: Wavy Bunches

It's our third day of introductions and I'm so happy you've been enjoying our introductions... today's looks pretty similar to yesterday's and Tuesday's just with a different portrait design.
Today we're showcasing MDF Portrait Media Blanks: Wavy Bunches
They coordinate with the doll face mini and female face mini stamp sets, but you are free to draw any face on yours as your creative heart desires. There are instructions and a face template to help with lining up and facial proportions. I have designed them so they can stand freely or be hung on the wall with the pre cut hanging hole. The only addition you will need to add to the kit is adhesive, any good pva will work and of course your art supplies.

The Details:
  • MDF Portrait Media Blanks Wavy Bunches kit will be available for purchase on Fri 17th June.
  • The kit will retail at £7.99
  • The Wavy Bunches kit has a total of nine pre-cut pieces, they have been designed to have some adjustment whether you want to give your portrait a longer neck, tilt her face or flip the hair over for a different look. The MDF is 3mm thick with the plinth/stand at 6mm, your complete portrait will stand under 8" tall.

Here's my sample...
So I wanted to try dark skin tones and a lolita style hair. I think this is the joy of fantasy portraits, you can create any style, fun, quirky, or completely out there...

Now it's time to head over for even more stunning projects from our very talented...

Thank you so very much for stopping by and your continued support.
Enjoy a wonderfully creative day!

Introducing ~ MDF Portrait Media Blanks: Flick & Fringe

It's our second day of introductions and I'm so happy you've stopped by...
today's looks pretty similar to yesterday's just with a different portrait design.
Today we're showcasing MDF Portrait Media Blanks Flick and Fringe,
So, this works the same as the wavy central parting, the portrait is broken into layers, but instead of having to draw them they are simply painted and adhered together to create a dimensional mixed media portrait.

Now, onto my sample...
I thought I would try the comic book pop art look for this one, I used my Pop dots stamp set to add the texture dots all over this piece, they were so easy to line up, using ink that was just a tone darker than the acrylic paint I had used.
Now, I also used the ears from the Male face mini as they fit perfectly and it helped with the template and painting that part of the hair. I then painted a thick black edge to give a graphic outline look.
Here's the back I did stamp dots on this part too, it seemed right to...

It's the turn of the lovely

today so do stop by to see her gorgeous dimensional art!
AND
for an extra special inspirational stop we have the honour of

joining in the fun with her signature style on a Wavy Central Parting Portrait,
so wonderful you're in for a treat.

Thank you so very much for stopping by,
I hope you will return tomorrow to see another Dimensional mixed media portrait.

Enjoy a wonderfully creative day!
